After growing up on the central coast of Maine, Ryan Gaul moved south and attended Stonehill College outside of Boston. Following a brief career as an office supply salesman, he transitioned into acting, landing a spot as a performer at Improv Asylum in Boston.
Gaul moved to Los Angeles shortly after and became a staple of the improvisation and sketch comedy theater The Groundlings. From there, he landed guest-starring roles on numerous television shows, including House of Lies, Modern Family, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 2 Broke Girls and Superstore. His film credits include Identity Thief, opposite Melissa McCarthy; Christopher Guest's Mascots; the Owen Wilson/Ed Helms comedy Father Figures; and Taran Killam's film Why We're Killing Gunther, opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Gaul is based in Los Angeles, where lives with his wife and two kids.
