Da’Vine Joy Randolph is a Tony Award-nominated actress, currently known for her breakout role opposite Eddie Murphy in Netflix’s DOLEMITE IS MY NAME. The film premiered at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival,and began streaming on Netflix on October 25, 2019. Da’Vine’s breakthrough performance as the iconic “Lady Reed” in star-studded feature earned her an NAACP Image Award nomination in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
Da'Vine can currently be seen playing Veesy on The Last O.G. Veesy and Tray grew up together in the projects. Smart, strong and street-savvy, Veesy will play opposite to Tray as a major force he’ll have to contend with throughout Season 4. Both motherly and gangsta she’s the type of person who will cut you then give you a hug afterwards. Veesy has no filter but a huge heart. Some people think her bark is bigger than her bite but nobody wants to try her. At the same time she’s an advocate always wanting to uplift her people. She's like the Hood-Equalizer always looking out for the little guy. She has a strong bullshit detector and she's the one-person Tray can't smooth- talk.
Recently, Da’Vine wrapped production on Lee Daniel’s UNITED STATES VS BILLIE HOLIDAY. Da’Vine will appear alongside Natasha Lyonne, Andra Day and Trevante Rhodes.
Also, Da’Vine appeared opposite Zoë Kravitz in the ABC Studios/Hulu dramedy, HIGH FIDELITY. The series premiered on Friday, February 14, 2020 on Hulu.
Additionally, she can be seen opposite Evan Rachel Wood in Miranda July’s next project, KAJILLIONAIRE, for Annapurna and Plan B., as well as appear in Andrew Cohn’s THE LAST SHIFT. Both films premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.

After that, she starred opposite Chris Bauer in the critically acclaimed WHAT RHYMES WITH AMERICA at the Atlantic Theatre Company, for which she was nominated for the Lucille Lortel Award. She also received rave reviews for her performance in the Encores! Off-Center production of THE CRADLE WILL ROCK
A graduate of the renowned Yale School of Drama, Da’Vine has also studied classical voice and opera. She resides in Los Angeles.
