I love The Glenn Hotel; it’s the first boutique hotel in Atlanta. Inside, you can sip cocktails at a great bar and get your eat on at B.E.D restaurant. The best part is that when you’re done schmoozing and flirting downstairs you have a place to crash that is just an elevator ride away.
People of all different walks of life party together. You can walk in to any given club or bar on any given night and see a group of Tech frat boys, sitting at a table next to a group of emo hipsters, who are sitting next to a band of urban cowboys. You just have to love the diversity that this city offers!
Fabrik and Barney’s Co-op offer a great selection of styles at affordable prices, which is great for divas on a budget. Another one of my favorites is Luxe for high end fashion at Sample Sale prices. And the end-all-be-all of online shopping is definitely www.revolveclothing.com; they carry all of my favorite designers.
I am a big advocate of wearing what makes you feel good. When you feel good on the inside it shines on the outside, and there is no better accessory than a fabulous glow that comes off a woman who has a lot of confidence!
Jeans. Denim is so versatile now-a-days and there is just no substitution for how good your butt looks in a pair of perfect fitting jeans.
Okay, I love my friends, but I never, ever, EVER go out on a Saturday night without applying false eyelashes. There is just something about that extra little oomph it gives your eyes. Plus it virtually eliminates “drunk eye” (when one eye looks more open than the other) in pictures!
Great idea! If you do dinner, and your date turns out to be a total loser, you are stuck for an hour and a half plus. The perk to the coffee date (pun intended) is that you can always down a cup a coffee in less than 15 minutes and then claim to have an ulcer flare up or a personal trainer who’s coming by REALLY early in the morning.
Parties, parties, parties! If you go to enough of them you are bound to find Mr. Right Now, and if you are really lucky maybe Santa (or other non-denominational holiday character) will bring you Mr. Right.
Carrie. That’s a given. I’m a writer, I over-analyze everything, and, yes, I have been known to spend all of my rent money on shoes.
SATC made it ok to be 35+ and single. The show really empowered women by portraying amazing characters living their fabulous lives as successful single women having fun in the big city.
