The potato. A staple of American cuisine. Filling? Sure. Easy to cook? Absolutely. Exciting? Rarely. Well that's all about to change as we makeover the potato in a way that screams "No More Dud Spuds." Culinary expert Nick Oltarsh will come in and show the tricks of the tater trade to our volunteer, who only knows to how to bake and mash them. We'll watch russets, Yukon Golds and Red Blisses get au gratined, shredded into pancakes and twice cooked. And to top it all off, he'll show our volunteer how to throw a potato party with an elegant garlic mashed potato bar that'll have guests spooning spuds into Martini glasses and topping them with everything from imported prosciutto to caviar.
