Season 4: Episode 86: The Locker Room
Theo is upset when Vanessa accepts a date with his friend Lyle, as he is always regaling the guys with stories about his exploits with girls. Theo forbids Vanessa from dating Lyle, but she laughs it off. Cliff and Clair also refuse to intervene. The day after the date, Lyle angers Theo by bragging in the locker room about scoring with Vanessa. Theo again turns to his parents for help, but they don't seem upset. He warns Vanessa that her reputation is going to be ruined. She realizes that he cares more about his own reputation on campus. He tries to block her bedroom door to keep her from going on her date with Lyle, but Vanessa and Janet put him in a headlock. Theo confronts Lyle about his behavior. He says that he would never try anything with Vanessa, but likes to tell stories to the guys because they would think he was a wimp if they knew he treated girls nicely. He points out that Theo has stretched the truth in the past for the same reason. Meanwhile, Cliff tries desperately to find out how Rudy performed a magic trick.
