Season 4: Episode 77: It's Not Easy Being Green
Clair objects when Rudy tries to wear a summer dress to a friend's party. She feels that it is too cold to wear that dress, and orders Rudy to return it to the trunk with the rest of her summer clothes. She is furious when Rudy tries to defy her. Rudy tries to trick Cliff into agreeing that she should wear the dress, but Clair comes home and puts a stop to her ploy. Rudy notices that Vanessa and Theo are allowed to choose their own clothes and go out with friends, and feels that it is unfair. Theo tells her that she will be able to do these things one day, but Rudy is still very sad. She apologizes to Cliff for getting him in trouble, and says that she feels worthless because she is so young. Cliff cheers her up by helping her pick a warmer dress for the party and putting on a fashion show in the living room. Robert comes by the house before a study date with Vanessa and tries to complain about his love life to Cliff. Cliff tells him to wait outside. He later corners Theo, and tells him that he has broken up with 26 girls in two years. Vanessa takes him to the mall and introduces him to a girl, but Robert scares her off by asking her to the senior prom three years in advance.
