Season 3: Episode 54: Mother, May I?
Rudy puts some make-up on a sleeping Cliff so that she can see what he would look like as a woman. She reveals that she found the make-up in Vanessa's bag. Clair confronts Vanessa and reminds her that she is not allowed to wear make-up until she is 15. Vanessa promises to abide by her wishes. Her friend Rebecca insists that she has to wear make-up, and convinces her that she could wear it at school without her mother's knowledge. However, Vanessa gets caught when she is unable to remove some mascara before going home. Clair is furious, but eventually calms down and explains why she feels it is important that the kids follow the rules. Vanessa apologizes and receives a modest punishment. Theo studies fire safety in his health class. He organizes a fire drill, but the family gets locked out of the house.
