Season 1: Episode 4: Is That My Boy?
Cliff is overjoyed when Theo makes the freshman football team. He annoys Clair by constantly talking about his glory days and predicting that his son will follow in his footsteps. Cliff works out with him and discovers that he has a well-choreographed end zone celebration dance, but no skill whatsoever. Clair pleads with Cliff not to show his disappointment. Theo admits that he does not expect much playing time, but his parents agree to support him. Cliff gives Rudy permission to play in his and Clair's room to stop her from interrupting Vanessa's studying, but forgets about her. A distraught Rudy hides in a large box in the back yard. She feels that she is worthless because of her age, but Clair manages to cheer her up.
