Jim Gaffigan is true comedic triple threat, having achieved major milestones in stand-up, acting and writing. Beloved by a wide range of audiences, Gaffigan continues to prove himself a major talent, responsible for some of the funniest and most memorable moments in recent television and film. His clever and quiet style has earned him a spot as one of the top five most-successful touring comedians in the country today. His 2006 Comedy Central special, Beyond the Pale, was certified platinum, selling more than 150,000 DVDs and 170,000 CDs.
Last December, Gaffigan finished his latest Comedy Central live tour, Jim Gaffigan: The Sexy Tour, during which he performed at 50 sold-out shows across 25 cities. The tour culminated at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, where he filmed his upcoming Comedy Central special King Baby. In June, Gaffigan will be seen in Sam Mendes’ Away We Go for Focus Features.
Gaffigan’s talent has earned him an unprecedented number of appearances on both CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman and NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Scripted television guest appearances include a guest-starring role on HBO’s cult hit Flight of the Concords and previous roles on That ‘70s Show, Ed, Sex and the City, The Ellen Show, Third Watch and all three of the Law & Order series. Gaffigan has also been seen in such films as The Love Guru, 13 Going on 30, Super Troopers, 17, Three Kings, The Living Wake and The Great New Wonderful, the latter a meditation on the aftermath of 9/11.
Gaffigan is the creative force, co-writer and voice of all the characters in Pale Force, the superhero crime-fighting duo he created with Conan O’Brien for NBC.com. The weekly animated series ran on the Internet, with Gaffigan premiering episodes once a month on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The 40-episode series was nominated for a Broadband Emmy® and a Webby Award.
Many often recognize Gaffigan from his numerous award-winning commercial campaigns, which include Sierra Mist, ESPN, Saturn and Rolling Rock. His commercial presence earned him BusinessWeek’s 1999 Salesman of the Year honor. Gaffigan currently splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.
