A native of Atlanta, GA 10-year old China Anne McClain discovered her
love of acting while memorizing the lines of her favorite movies and acting
them out with her siblings, adding their own new twist. Her passion for
pretending and singing eventually captured the attention of director Rob
Hardy (
The Gospel), producer Will Packer (
Stomp the Yard,
This Christmas)
and writer-director-actor Tyler Perry. In 2007, China Anne co-starred in the
movie Tyler Perry’s
Daddy’s Little Girls, with her real life sisters Sierra &
Lauryn McClain, as well as actors Idris Elba (
The Reaping,
American
Gangster) and Gabriel Union (
Bad Boys II,
Bring it On). Recently, little
China Anne played opposite Oscar Award winning actor Forest Whitaker in
the film
Hurricane Season, as his only child Alana. This compelling drama
affirms the resilience of the human spirit based on true events surrounding
Hurricane Katrina.
Presently, China Anne and her sisters have formed a singing group called
3mcclaingirls. You can checkout their new music at the Myspace music
