The Real Gilligan's Island Season Two - Episode Three
As this week's episode begins, new alliances form while the final seven prepare for a different competition. Mary Ann Randi finds it rough to ally with the other castaways. She says, "Today is the first day that we are just basically the final seven and everyone is on their own. So we are not a team anymore. Gilligan Shawn and Professor Tiy-E, their all over each other like they've been best friends since they were twelve. I don't know if I can trust them. It's getting kind of tough." Gilligan Shawn has his own thoughts about why Mary Ann Randi doesn't form an alliance with them. "I think the main reason that Randi won't steer away from the orange alliance, is because nobody likes Randi," he claims. "And to tell you the truth, I am feeling really confident about the whole alliance with Team Orange, and hopefully that will work out."

Later in their huts, the two alliances meet together and form their strategy. Deliberately meeting behind Mary Ann Randi's back, Gilligan Shawn, Professor Tiy-E, and Millionaire Jim are confident that Skipper Charlie has to go. Professor Tiy-E says, "My main focus right now is to get rid of Skipper Charlie. It's a man's thing. It's an ego thing. And it has to happen, bottom line."

Millionaire Jim believes that his best chance is to ally with Team Orange. He says, "I am going to stay aligned with Team Orange. It works to my advantage to make it to the final four. And then I have to align myself with Mary Ann Randi. If my plan works out, I will have no problem feeding Mary Ann Randi at the hand."

Ginger Erika Eleniak wants to form an alliance with all the girls. "I am just saying that the girls should probably stick together on this one, because the boys have an extremely tight alliance," she remarks. "And I don't think they're going to let anything mess with that."

As the day continues, the castaways work hard to befriend one another. Gilligan Shawn says, "Randi could be a very vital component in my strategy to win this competition. I have to pretend to like Randi. It basically sucks the life right from my veins."   [video]

The radio interrupts and tells the castaways that the next competition is not a safety competition but a reward competition. Professor Tiy-E argues, "Well, I wasn't exactly excited that the radio said that it was going to be a reward competition and not a safety, because I wanted to get rid of Skipper Charlie. Look at him. He's getting fatter, and he's homesick."

Host Scott meets the castaways on the beach and tells them that there are bottles in the ocean and only one carries a real message. The castaway who finds the real message in the bottle wins. In the end, Miss Millionaire Melissa finds a message that says, "Enjoy your dinner." Host Scott tells her she can have one guest. The Millionaire's Wife claims that Gilligan Shawn needs the meal the most, so she chooses Gilligan Shawn. But she has something up her sleeve. She confesses, "I see right now that the Orange four are pretty tight and the more that I can hang out with them and get to know them, the better off I am."   [video]

Miss Melissa and her date Gilligan hit it off on their date. But Gilligan Shawn has an ulterior motive. "My main strategy tonight with Miss Melissa is that I plan on showing her any side of me that she wants to see," he says. "If she wants to see a sensitive side and talk about my diabetes that is fine with me." He later claims, "I think the main reason that Miss Melissa wanted me to have dinner with her was because she knew that afterwards I would get down and do the hibbity bibbity."

Later on that night, Gilligan Shawn and Skipper Charlie get in a heated argument. Gilligan Shawn tests Skipper Charlie's patience by making fun of his efforts in the competition earlier that day. He also says, "I am the one who had dinner with your green team member. Enjoy your last night on the island." He then goes to sleep, giving Skipper Charlie no chance to reply.

The morning comes and the castaways do not waste any time. Ginger Erika tries to get Mary Ann Randi to unite with her. She feels that their main threat is Millionaire Jim. Within minutes of Ginger Erika leaving, Gilligan Shawn and Millionaire Jim enter into Mary Ann Randi's hut. Mary Ann Randi has her own thoughts about everyone trying to recruit her for their alliance. She says, "It's kind of funny and it's kind of ironic to have everybody ignore me and then to be all up my butt about everything."

As soon as Gilligan Shawn leaves the hut, Millionaire Jim puts on his charm. He asks Mary Ann Randi, "Do you want to win? The only way for you to win is to team up with orange. If you go with the girls, you will lose. With us I gave you my word. It's the only way for you or me to stay in it. You have zero chance to be the final two, if you do not play this way. I have zero chance to be in the final two, if we do not play this way."

The radio chirps loudly and everyone runs to listen. It tells them that their next competition will be at the lagoon. Immediately, everyone thinks that it is going to be an obstacle course. Skipper Charlie has full confidence in the obstacle course but feels that Professor Tiy-E has no chance. He says, "Professor Tiy-E needs more than a miracle, he needs floaties."

Host Scott reveals the next competition. The castaways have to undergo a difficult obstacle course of climbing, swimming, and other complex tasks. Host Scott then gives Professor Tiy-E a choice. He can either risk swimming or sit out. If he sits out of the competition he has no chance to win the life preserver. "I think I am going to sit out on this one, because I have never swung from a rope," Professor Tiy-E answers. This leaves Gilligan Shawn by himself against the other castaways. He asks, "What the hell just happened to Tiy-E? I thought I knew the guy and that he was a performer. But this kid needs to strap on a set and participate in the competition."

In the competition, Skipper Charlie proves that he is in charge of the island by setting a time that no one else can beat. He secures the life preserver and is safe from being banished from the island.   [video]

The castaways meet at Voodoo Village to vote. They each grab a castaway's doll and place it in the chopping block. In the end, Mr. Millionaire's mind games don't work. He is voted off the island by a count of four votes for him and three votes for Miss Melissa. Mr. Bounce leaves, saying, "Absolutely I feel betrayed. It is a chess game and obviously someone plays a little better than I do."   [video]

Tensions rise on the island when Gilligan Shawn enters the girls' hut and points a finger at Mary Ann Randi. "I say this in all due respect," he accuses, "thanks for stabbing Jim in the back. That was really cool, but you know that it is going to come back to get you. I know that you girls are gunning for me now, but I hope to God that you [Randi] lose."   [video]

Gilligan Shawn later realizes that cussing out Mary Ann Randi in front of the other girls was not the greatest idea. He says, "After thinking about it a little bit, I don't think that was the best decision. I think I turned myself into the most hated person on camp and I really need to do something about it.

To make up his mistake, Gilligan Shawn tries to gain the support of Skipper Charlie. Shawn claims that they need each other's vote. He realizes to be in the final four he must make it up to the girls, especially Ginger Erika and Miss Melissa.

Mary Ann Randi realizes now that to stay on the island, she must ally with the girls. The three girls feel confident in their newly formed team and become quite inseparable.

Gilligan Shawn, on the other hand, feels like he is in a no-win situation. He no longer tries to recruit castaways to his team. He starts to get lazy and this angers Skipper Charlie. Skipper Charlie loses his cool when Gilligan Shawn tries to relieve himself in their hut. Skipper Charlie says, "You cannot pee in this hut. Are you crazy? We've both got to smell it. Or does he think he's leaving soon?"

The radio disrupts the castaways and tells them that they have a reward competition. Before they leave, Gilligan Shawn makes one last attempt to reconcile with Team Orange. He pleads, "Randi, I'm sorry about last night and what I said to you. You were playing the game the way you played the game. I came to grips last night that it was just a game and I am sorry that I was mean to you." But he later confesses, "Was my apology very sincere? No. I could care less. However, I have to stay on an even queue with every one else here. I think that my strategy worked perfectly." Mary Ann Randi sees right through Shawn. "Shawn did make an effort to put an apology out there," she says, "but it's too little, too late. I don't think I buy it."

Host Scott meets them on the beach and tells them that the next competition is a team competition instead of an individual competition. The reward is a chest full of money. Host Scott then tells them that they must gather pieces of a totem pole. They must then place them on top of each other and complete the totem pole. Each piece fits only in a designated place. There is a catch, though. Each team of three must be tied together.   [video]

The two teams are neck-and-neck the whole time. They both gather their pieces and assemble them a few seconds apart. But they both assemble them in the wrong order. The two teams quickly reposition each piece. Team Gilligan, Skipper, and Ginger are the first to correctly assemble their totem pole. They each gladly split the three thousand dollar reward.

It doesn't take long for the teams assigned in the competition to separate. The girls meet and make plans on who to vote off the island next. They plan to keep Professor Tiy-E on the island because he is not giving it his all. Ginger Erika explains, "The final outcome is to knock off the threats. So if someone is out there not giving it their all, not trying their hardest, and having the slowest time, you're not going to see them as a threat."

Ginger Erika soon shows her true feelings. She explains to the Professor and Shawn, "Don't think that just because Melissa and I are talking that I'm stupid. She's an animal out there, quite frankly, and she's smart." Afterwards, Gilligan Shawn and Professor Tiy-E make plans to bring Ginger Erika into their circle.

The radio bleeps into existence and causes the castaways to stop their preparations. It tells them to go to the beach and prepare for a safety competition. Host Scott is there, waiting next to a line of wheelbarrows. The castaways must load the wheelbarrows and push them across the beach to a tiki sculpture that looks like the castaways. They then have to swing across a muddy pool without any part of their body landing in the mud.   [video]

The last tiki castaway that remains is the Ginger Erika look-alike, so she wins the life preserver and is safe from being banished.

The castaways don't take long before they get back to their old ways. Professor Tiy-E and Gilligan Shawn want to make sure that Erika votes the same as they vote, but Miss Melissa wants Erika to vote the Professor off the island. She says, "Take Professor Tiy-E out of the equation, and Shawn will definitely lose some of the fire." Mary Ann Randi quickly agrees to this strategy. Now the two girls need Erika and the Skipper to join their plot.

That night at Voodoo Village, Miss Melissa's teammates stab her in the back. Both Mary Ann Randi and Ginger Erika vote against Miss Melissa. The votes turn out to be: four against Miss Melissa and two against Professor Tiy-E.   [video]

Who will form an alliance now that the girls have lost a member? Which castaway will be rescued from the island? Find out on next week's Season Finale of The Second Season of The Real Gilligan's Island.
