· When assigning chores to your younger kids, keep in mind that folding and putting away laundry is a safe start. Getting your child a colorful store bought folding board gives them their own personal organization tool that will instill keeping their clothes neat on a regular basis.

· When doing a child's room, go with a color palette that is original. Growing up in a room that's style is unlike most others will teach your kids to think outside the box.

· Kids' interests change so frequently that buying the right furniture can be difficult. Keep in mind that wood furniture can always be painted to give a new look.

· Encourage the artistic side of your child by having them partake in an artistic project that will become a feature in their own room.
