TURNER SPORTS
• Thulin will begin his third-consecutive year as the play-by-play announcer
for TBS' 2004-05 college football coverage.
CAREER
• Thulin returns to Turner Sports, where he handled play-by-play duties for
the NBA on TNT and TBS Superstation for seven seasons, from 1988-89 through
1994-95.
• His vast experience includes stints with FOX, ABC, ESPN, Raycom and Prime
Network, covering a variety of sporting events, including the 1992-1994 Winter
Olympics alpine events, basketball during the 1990 and 1994 Goodwill Games, the
1991 Pan Am Games, and SEC college football for Prime Network.
• Thulin began his career as sports anchor, spending seven years at KTVY-TV
in Oklahoma City from 1975-82 before moving to KXAS-TV in Dallas in 1982. He
hosted and produced several NFL and college coaches shows.
PERSONAL
• Thulin is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma.
• He resides in San Antonio with his wife, Paula, and daughters, Katie and
Joanna.
