Christa started acting early - real early. At 3, she appeared in an Ivory Snow commercial, and her career snowballed from there. After a successful modeling career in the U.S. and Europe as a teen, Christa started working in television. She appeared in "Kate and Allie," "Northern Exposure," "Seinfeld," "Party of Five" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" before hitting it big on "The Drew Carey Show" as Drew's friend (and sometime girlfriend) Kate.

Christa has been a recurring guest star on the TV show "Scrubs," which her husband Bill Lawrence III is the executive producer. They have a daughter, Charlotte.
