Dawsons Creek - Joshua Jackson

In addition to the six seasons of Dawson's Creek, Jackson stars in the independent drama "The Safety of Objects" as a suburban son whose coma galvanizes those around him, and is part of an all-star cast that includes Glenn Close and Dermot Mulroney. He also starred in the film version of the acclaimed play "The Laramie Project" for HBO, starring with Laura Linney, Peter Fonda, Christina Ricci, Steve Buscemi, Janeane Garofalo and Camryn Manheim. The drama, which opened the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, is an account of the events surrounding the murder of 19-year-old gay college student Matthew Shepard.

A native of British Columbia, Jackson landed his first professional acting job at age 9, when he was casted in several commercials for British Columbia Tourism. Other early credits include Michael Bortman's well-received 1991 film "Crooked Hearts," Jackson's feature film debut; and the Mighty Ducks trilogy, in which he starred as Charlie, the coach's prodigy hockey player and the team's voice of reason.

In 2000, Jackson became a leading man, headlining the thriller "The Skulls" and playing opposite James Marsden and Kate Hudson in Warner Bros.' "Gossip." He also had cameo appearances in Steven Soderberg's "Ocean's 11" and "Scream 2," and has apppeared in "Cruel Intentions," "Urban Legend" and Bryan Singer's "Apt Pupil" co-starring Ian McKellen and Brad Renfro.
