Melora HardinMelora Hardin is probably most recognized for her portrayal of Jan Levinson, Steve Carell's rigid former-corporate boss and love interest, on the hit series The Office. She is also known for playing Tony Shaloub's dead wife in the hit cable series Monk. Most recently, she starred in the WWE feature Knucklehead, opposite Mark Feuerstein, as well as in The Big Show and as love-interest to Jimmy Smits' character on the legal drama Outlaw.
While in production on a film in New Orleans, she simultaneously recorded a live album entitled All The Way To Mars, making her third album but her first studio-released album. The collection features songs from Broadway, standards, pop and a few songs Hardin wrote herself. All the Way to Mars was released on the LML Music Label last year and is currently available in stores nationwide and online at Amazon & iTunes.
Among her many other credits, Hardin starred in back-to-back #1 weekend theatrical box-office winners Hanna Montana: The Movie, as the adult female lead and love-interest to Billy Ray Cyrus, and 17 Again, opposite Zac Efron. Her other feature film successes include Thank You for Smoking, with Aaron Eckhardt Absolute Power, opposite Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman; and 27 Dresses, with Katherine Heigl. In 2009, she made her directorial debut with the independent feature You, which was released via iTunes, Amazon and DVD at http://www.YouTheFilm.com.
Hardin has been acting, singing and dancing since childhood, appearing in numerous hit shows like Friends and Little House on the Prairie. She has sung in many productions, including Disney's The Rocketeer and Tower of Terror, and has released two CDs, both of which can be found on her website, http://www.melora.com.
Hardin played the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway from late December 2008 to mid-February 2009. Prior to that, she played the role of Fantine in the Hollywood Bowl rendition of Les Miserables in Concert for a one-weekend performance to sold-out audiences.
Hardin currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, actor/writer Gildart Jackson, and their two young daughters.
