Valerie Azlynn was born and raised in New London, Connecticut. At 17, she moved to New York to pursue her career as an actress and began performing in the theatre and singing with a reputable Manhattan-based opera company.
 
A few years later, Azlynn moved to Los Angeles to jumpstart her career in film & TV. She is known for her lead role on the CBS comedy series Welcome to the Captain, as well as some memorable recurring roles on Castle, Smith and Joey. Her many guest-starring roles include The Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, CSI: NY, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men and Hot in Cleveland.
 
On film, Azlynn has appeared in Tropic Thunder, Hancock, Bewitched, Poseidon and The Surrogates. She received great reviews for her lead role in Julia X and will next be seen as one of the leads in the independent film Caroline & Jackie and as Miss Crabtree in the Little Rascals (pending release).
