Is there a way to create a smoky eye in a softer color palette? How can I make it work for day as well as night?Instead of using the typical blacks, dark browns, and dark grays to create a smoky eye, try using gold, peach, bronze, berries, tans, or light grays (medium tones). As long as there is a color on the eyelid, it can be considered smoky! For daytime, I suggest matte colors (nothing with shimmer!!). For evening, add shimmer and even pencil if you want to rim the inside of the eye for a little bit of drama. If you are using a purple or blue shadow on the lid, you can also use a pencil and mascara in the same color.
