Notable TV In-Laws

Some of the best TV characters of all time have been in-laws. We've compiled a list of the most notable. Enjoy.

1. Mama on Mama’s Family– Thelma is lovably loud and cranky. She lets her son, Vinton, and his wife, Naomi, live in her basement, but they drive her crazy and vice versa.
   
   
2. Bev on Roseanne – Roseanne's mom, Bev, ends up opening the diner with them. She annoys Roseanne more than her son-in-law, Dan, but she annoys him just the same.
   
   
3. Charles Bing on Friends - Also known as Helena Handbasket, Chandler's dad is a drag queen. That makes for a very interesting father/mother-in-law for Monica. Watch your favorite Friends' clips.
   
   
4. Archie Bunker on All in the Family – His hatred of his son-in-law’s left-wing views make him a notorious in-law. His racist views make him a total jerk.
   
   
5. Cotton Hill on King of the Hill – Hank Hill’s veteran father got his knees shot off in the war. So he has an excuse for being cantankerous, but how come he always refers to Peggy as "Hank's wife" and never by her name?

7. Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development – The matriarch of the Bluth family just ignores her son-in-law, Tobias. Yet, she is actually a better mother-in-law than she is a mother, which isn't saying much.
   
   
8. Endora on Bewitched – If Durwood, Darwin, Dillweed whatever his name is wasn’t a mortal maybe Endora wouldn’t hate him so much. Of course, no matter how many spells she casts trying to get rid of him, they never seem to work. Is she that terrible of a witch or does she secretly love Darrin?
