Wigs, Clip Ons and Weaves

Wigs
Human hair wigs are more versatile. You can change the textures and styles as if it were your own hair. Look for wigs with multi colors; no one's natural hair is all one color. Wigs with different colors look more natural. Look for wigs that are lightweight as well; they're more comfortable.

Clip on pieces
Be sure to buy clip-ons that match your natural hair color because your hair will be covering the clips and you want the blend to be seamless.

Extensions
Fusion: Always invest in good hair that matches your natural hair because your hair will need to blend perfectly with the Fusion Pieces.

Weaves
Always be sure that the braids underneath are as small as possible so that the weave will be as undetectable as possible. Be sure the track wefts are really thin. Most of the time hair that you buy is two tracks sewed together. Use a razor to separate them...it's better to sew on more of the thinner tracks than using less but thicker tracks. That way, when you cut it, layers will look more natural because they're closer together so you avoid choppy layers. Be sure to always use your natural color (or whatever color you might be sporting at the moment) on top so that the blend between your natural hair and the commercial hair is seamless.

Whether it's a Weave, Extentions, or Clip On, always be sure to get it custom cut for you. The right cut can take a so so piece from drab to fab in minutes!
