Putting on the Wig
  • Prepare your hair; pin-curl or wrap your hair
  • Hair must be flat to ensure proper fitting
  • Wear a wig cap the same color of wigs predominant color
Cleaning the Wig
  • Always follow manufacturer’s suggestions
  • Use a shampoo recommended for color treated hair
  • Avoid sulfur base shampoos such as for dandruff shampoo
  • Do not ruffle the hair but keep hair in the sewn/growth direction
  • Towel blot the hair by pressing between two towels
  • Put the hair on a wig mannequin to dry.
Cutting the Wig
  • Utilize a professional stylist to custom design your wig
  • Always taper the ends
  • Do not use solid shapes
Styling the Wig
  • Handle the wig gently
  • Always set the heat on low for human hair
  • Do not use direct heat with synthetic wigs. Use steam rollers
  • Do not pull excessively
  • Use boar bristle brushes for human hair
  • Use soft flexible synthetic brushes for other hair
HOW TO CHOOSE:
Option 1: Synthetic wigs are more temporary and cost effective. They can be purchased directly from a wig store.

Option 2: Human hair is more costly but last longer. They can be purchased directly from a wig store but need to be customized with a cut from a stylist.

Option 3: Lace fronts are more natural but are more expensive. You should be sized by a stylist and have the lace front ordered for proper fitting.

Option 4: Custom made wigs are most natural but are the most expensive. You must be sized and fitted by a professional wig expert to pick custom color and style.
