Raffles is the Pearson's lovable yet mangy dog that Bill won through a church raffle. Bill was hoping to win a guitar but after all was said and done, he walked away with the sixth member of the Pearson household. Raffles can't do any tricks and he doesn't really listen very well, so he fits in nice with the other Pearson children. Raffles is about ten years old and has battled cancer, but the Pearsons decided to put their mutt through surgery than to put him down, and they haven't regretted the decision.

In real life, Raffles' name is Mikey. He is a mix that attracted the eyes of the producers because he was an a-typical TV dog with a face only a mother could love. Mikey was chosen out of a list of twelve different dogs that auditioned. There is no double for Mikey on the show. He comes from Critters of the Cinema and is trained by Rob Bloch.
