Mel and Jodie are a great comic duo as Brett Maverick (Gibson) is a gambler trying to raise the entry fee ($25,000) to join a high stakes poker game. In this buddy picture, Gibson joins forces with a lady gambler (Foster). As the two try to raise the money, Maverick learns two things; never draw on an inside straight and never, ever trust another gambler.
