Traumatized by the loss of his wife, Manny Singer (Liotta) hires a housekeeper to take care of the house and his daughter. With the 1950s as a backdrop, Whoopi as Corrina is at her charming best as the college-educated woman forced to work as a domestic. It's wonderfully funny, suprisingly moving, and chock full of lessons without being preachy or heavy-handed. And you can dance to it!
